Friday Faves

I’m always falling in love with new products and finds! They’re random, fun, and I wanted to share them with ya’ll. I attribute my many random discoveries to my cool friends and job. I hope you like them, ask questions, and please share your supa cool faves, too! I’m always looking for new goodies to try.

First on my list is Hippie Dust. Yes Hippie Dust! Amazing stuff. Better than fairy dust. Hippie Dust is edible, healthy, and made by a dedicated couple. Unfortunately distribution is not widespread on this item (yet), but if you find yourself in the Petaluma/Sonoma area, load up! It’s popcorn made in small batches with a coating of nutritional yeast and spices. De-lish! I killed a whole bag in one evening. Check out their website for stores and more information: https://www.cometcorn.com/ .

Next on the list is Everyone 3-in-1 Soap. I initially fell in love with the smell and the fact that it has essential oils in it. I chose the coconut and lime, 2-pack of 32 ounce bottles. The price on Amazon was reasonable for so much product, and I like that it’s multi-purpose – shampoo, body wash, and bubble bath in one! Here is the link for product I ordered: Everyone Soap

I will admit that I haven’t used these lately because I forget them in the car… but I do love the concept! Reusable produce bags are great because they’re just that, reusable! I always feel so wasteful using the little plastic produce bags at the store. And these resusable produce bags allow your food to keep breathing. Not sure if that’s a real thing, but I mean it seems like a solid point. I believe I purchased mine at a Whole Foods, but have attached a link for some on Amazon: Produce Bags

Throwback time! Polaroid Originals OneStep+. In a world of filters and edits, I love that this camera is a one-and-done, aim and shoot, you get what you get model. It certainly takes some getting used to (light distance settings), and the film is pretty expensive, but there’s nothing like a Polaroid picture! Also, the look on people’s face when you pull out a Polaroid camera is priceless. Link to the one I got for my birthday is here: Polaroid Camera

Ah, a new favorite company, Sourdough Story. Alex really does have a great story as to how he developed the product and I highly recommend you read up on his website. He is the one who enlightened me on the amazing benefits of sourdough and sprouted grains for our body. Even better than his story, is the actual product! The crust is delicious, and he intentionally sources quality, local products. Plus they use Rumiano cheese on their pizza, what’s not to love! Out of the two I tried, the Sunflower Pesto was by far my favorite. I added some zucchini from my garden and topped with some Rumiano Grated Parmesan before popping it in the oven. So delicious. https://sourdoughstory.com/

Food is a major theme for me… Next on my list is more yumminess. I love Bird’s Eye Steamfresh meals. They take less than 10 minutes to cook, and I feel good about eating them. The pasta is made out of vegetables, so I find it to be lighter and leaves me feeling less bloated and too-full. Without seeing the package, you would never know that it wasn’t “normal” pasta. The texture and taste is great. I always add some of our Rumiano Parmesan or Romano, I’m a cheese gal so the creamier the better! They have lots of options with these meals, I haven’t found one I don’t like yet. Link to one is here: Veggie Pasta

Amika Hair Products are up next. These are the products my hairdresser uses, she gave me some samples, and wah-la. Love. Mostly they smell delicious, but I love the results they provide. My sample of leave-in conditioner has been great and I’ll probably order a big bottle. I currently have the blowout spray, which I notice makes a difference when blow drying my hair (smoother, softer), and the beach wave spray. The wave spray is a little tricky, it makes your hair pretty beachy in the sense that it gets some tangle and texture to it from the spray. I have a habit of running my fingers through my hair, which is not conducive to to using this spray. Regardless, I like their products and will probably be expanding my inventory of these. I’ve copied the link for the blowout spray: Blowout Spray

Burn-time. I have a small gym at my house, and am always looking for easy ways to expand my capacity. I had been wanting a TRX for quite some time and finally went ahead and just ordered one! They’re a touch pricey, but when you look at everything you can do with them, worth it. Link to the one I ordered is below, I love the extensive list of exercises you can do with one. They definitely help give you a great workout! TRX

After all those tasty food favorites above, I have to include the ‘ol ab roller. My mom had one growing up and it would shred your abs every time you used it. I loved getting a hold of it! I hadn’t really seen another one, or recognized one since my mom’s is a little different style, until my workout instructor brought it back! Thanks Vicki! Ab rollers give a great workout, are small, and pretty cheap. I looked on Amazon and the one I think I will be purchasing is linked below. It was a descent price, I liked the look, and most ab rollers appear pretty comparable. Ab Roller

Hello booch! Kombucha has never been high on my list of drinks. I love the idea behind it, especially all the gut health benefits, but never liked drinking it because of taste. Well, on a trip to Crescent City and lunch at SeaQuake I got to try their version of kombucha. Totally different and life-changing! Their’s doesn’t have that in-your-face,vinegar-y flavor, but instead a nice mild taste. They’ve got some great flavors, and I picked up some apple cinnamon cans from their brewery. Plus I think the name Sea Bucha is just really cute! Link to learn more about SeaQuake: https://seaquakebrewing.com/

Sippin’ time. I can’t remember where I found my metal straws, I want to say TJ Maxx. Anyway, I had been looking for some, and finally found them at a good price so I snatched them up! Again, I like the fact that they’re reusable. I felt ultra wasteful throwing at least one straw away a day. These metal straws are great and they’e durable. I was worried about them getting gunky, but they come with a nice brush that fits down in the straw to keep it clean. I suggest getting these if you drink lots of juice or smoothies. Or if you just want to be a little less wasteful! Link to some on Amazon: Metal Straws

I hope ya’ll enjoy these goodies! They’re tasty, fun, and help keep you fit. I am on the hunt for new things to share with you, I will keep you updated as I stumble on good stuff!
